Awarded at the beginning of the academic year, youth literacy grants from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation enable deliver teachers, schools and organizations with the funding and sources they want to adequately begin the college year.

“Youth literacy grants from the Dollar Common Literacy Foundation make a distinct impact on the communities we serve by supporting programs that strengthen education and improve literacy,” stated Rick Dreiling, Dollar General’s chairman and CEO, in the release. 𠇊t Dollar Common, we are passionate about our mission of serving other people and it’s exciting to see the true difference literacy and understanding make in persons’s lives.”

This September, the Dollar Common Literacy Foundation awarded about $four million in youth literacy grants to roughly 825 schools, non-profit organizations, libraries and neighborhood groups devoted to the advancement of literacy.
